HEDERA

Hedera was a temporary site specific intervention developed over 4 weeks, during which hand-crafted trailings of ivy and flowers were applied to the walls using the left-over fragments of adhesive tape that I use while painting. The technique and aesthetic was developed overtime in my Flowers Book series.

This project was done with the designer Héctor Esrawe for Design House, 2014, Mexico City.

Here is a short video that documents the work in progress.

Work in progress, using an exacto knife to apply tiny pieces of painted tape to the wall and to “draw”, scratching the surface of the wall’s carved wood ornament.
